Takrut LP Suk

Takrut Chuak BE 2466 - Luang Phor Suk

Takrut amulets created by Luang Poo Suk of Wat Pak Klong Makhamtao, one of Thailand’s most sacred monks, were often made of mixed lead known in Thai as “Chin Tagua”.

They are commonly covered with either black laquer and/or braid.

These amulets are now well over 80 years in age, Luang Phor Suk having passied away in BE 2466.

The mixed lead, Chin Tagua, is essentially composed of mercury mixed with lead (plates) and it is known that Luang Phor Suk would spend as much as 7 days smelting and consecrating the mixture.

These takrut are thought unique as LP Suk would inscribe the lead plates with sacred spells and yant whilst they were fully immersed in the water from a small river that ran in front of the temple.

As a result of this his takrut are often referred to as Takrut Tainam. (Tainam being Thai for underwater.)

Takruts blessed by Luang Phor Suk are thought to be amongst the most powerful ever created and the demand has not diminished over the decades.

In fact they are probably more sought after today then at any other period in time. This particular takrut was acquired less than one month ago at 1200.00 USD and this is a genuine offer.

You can go to Pontip Plaza in Bangkok and very difficult to get one, there are have one shop not for sale (for show only) and at a corner have another shop the only one who have to best offer at last price is 45,000 bath (US$1,400).

Luang Phor Suk

Luang Phor Suk of Wat Pak Klong Makhamtao was one of the most famous senior monks in the Thai history and any of his amulets and takruts are in high demand by collectors and worshippers alike.

Many people have experienced the miraculous power of his amulets and its no wonder that they command such high prices.

After Luang Phor Suk passed away several decades ago it has become increasingly harder to source his amulets, most of which are now in the hands of individuals who realize their true value.

Typically you can expect to pay in the region of 1,000 USD upwards for a takrut in reasonable condition. Those that are in mint command at least treble this price.

It is generally acknowledged that LP Suk takruts are some of the most powerful ever created.
